Yes, some boiled eggs along with a carton of eggs to be used for breakfast
is a good idea. If he really wants to have a quick snack they could make
a bowl of egg salad before leaving the house. Bring some crackers and a
quick lunch is waiting in the camper refrigerator.

I suggested the small grill as they'll probably want to do some steaks and/or
pork chops or chicken. Italian sausages or hamburgers is another meal option.
