Here's the family recipe I use:
3/4 C flour
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp oil or other shortening
1/4 C milk
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbs garlic powder (optional)
1 tsp salt
Mix. Add to boiling water bit by bit. Cook 15 minutes. Wash.
I've not made dumplings in a very long time but as I recall this makes
enough for one meal.

I love a good meal! That's why I don't cook.
