Doesn't the acetone just evaporate out of the solution? My uncle was
an old time auto mechanic and used transmission fluid in a squirt
can for lots of things, like lubing hood and trunk hinges, linkages,
just about anything you'd use a light oil on. I don't think he added
anything, but merory may not be good.
