I toyed with an idea similar to that, but I really want it to be
portable. Well, as portable as that heavy monster is. I'm kicking
around the idea of taking a heavy duty lawn cart with big pneumatic
wheels (one rated for a couple of hundred pounds of load) and using it
as the base for the new smoker stand.

I don't own a welder, so I'm not sure how much it would cost to make
the rest of the stand. But I like the idea of being able to roll the
thing to the out building and keep it out of the weather.
