I'd much rather have a gas cook-top. I have had an electric oven coil catch
fire and it was not a pretty site. Unfortunately, where I live, I can't get
a gas cooktop. And Ray won't hear of a gas range; he's got a terrible
paranoia about cooking with gas.

I can't imagine using heavy cast iron cookware on a glass stovetop. Just
the thought of little ol' me lifting a cast iron pot on top of a glass top
range makes me cringe. It would be sure to crack. Or make me crack for
fear of cooking with it!
