heheh You're thinking of Ben Cartright. ;-)

I heard interesting trivia a few months ago.
Bonanza was not so popular back in the beginning.
But then they switched to color vs B&W shows.
As they were the first western to do color, their
popularity took off.

Similar thing with the sitcom "Married With Children."
That show was seldom watched (in the beginning) and
was on the verge of being cancelled.

Then some woman viewer complained about the sexist twist to
the show and even sued them in court.
That made the news. All of the sudden, many more
people started watching it just to see what the
controversy was about. And they liked it so the
ratings took off and the show became a huge success
and lasted for many more seasons. LOL

Because that woman complaining turned the show
into a success, every year on the anniversary of her
first complaint, they sent her a nice card signed by
the entire cast....thanking her for making them
successful. LMAO. Bet you she really gnashed her
teeth every time she got the annual greeting.
