One of the reasons for legalizing pot here was to abolish the black
marker and drug associated crime. It has been done poorly because there
are so few places licensed to sell it. The closest one to me is at the
far end of a nearby city. It would take me more than a half hour to get
there. Then there is the price the government set, and, of course,
taxes. If I were so inclined, I would be able to get some from "some
guy" locally for less than the cost at the legal store and I would save
more than an hour of travel time.

The province passed a law to allow municipalities to allow or ban pot
stores. My town opted out. Ironically, there are 7 major pot grow ops in
town.
