I guess the U.S had those TV guide magazines back then? I used to see
the magazine covers with the cast of the show, especially JR. Based on
how ridiculous they looked, for many years I honestly thought Dallas
was a sitcom. I never knew it was meant to be a drama. I never watched
TV back then, and I still don't.
