I cooked a 12 oz. package this evening on the stovetop in a Lodge cast
iron 10 1/4" saute pan. To filter the bacon grease, I use a coffee
filter pushed partly down into a short glass jar and push the part that's
above the rim over the rim and put a rubber band around it. Works well
enough. I consider bacon grease a necessity for baking corn bread.
