You probably should investigate the epidemiology of malaria, rather than
guessing.

Even though there are two mosquito-borne diseases in Michigan, I'd rather
not be sprayed with carcinogens.

Your dislike of mosquitoes is not a sufficient basis for public health
policy. If you're worried about children dying of malaria, then donate
to organizations that fight malaria.
