Okay, follow the bouncing ball...
The subject notbob posted is "Plant-Based Meat". He was talking about
plant based (fake) hot Italian sausage links. Apparently they don't
brown well. Ed suggested just simmering them in a sauce. No discussion
about actual meat until you brought up not putting RAW saw-seege into sauce.
Hey, don't worry. I'm not buying into the whole plant based "meat"
thing. I've tasted a few of these things over the years. It doesn't
matter how good they make these products taste. It takes a lot of
chemicals and a lot of processing to make something that isn't meat
taste like meat. I'm not jumping on that bandwagon.
