The odd thing was that even at 25 cents per one pound pack it was not
selling. My friend and I were kicking ourselves for not buying more of
it, though he bought a lot more than I did. Maybe the Chipotle peameal
scared people off, but it was very mildly flavoured, barely
unnoticeable. It was brined, so the best before date was not a worry,
and we planned to freeze it anyway. I doubt I will ever see a deal like
that again, but if I do I will buy a lot more.
