yeah, i remember when that happened and shortly after
i stopped buying their donuts too. never been back.

i used to make them when i was younger and we had a small
deep fryer. now we don't cook that ways ever here so there's
no way i'd do it, but i could pan fry up some batter in butter
and get close enough to the parts i enjoy the most (the crunchy
parts ). i do that when i make pancakes, the mix isn't that
much different, i just sprinkle some lines and dribbles on the
pan when i have some left or want more crunchies.
