Default Book Review

If this has been discussed here previously, apologies in advance:

I took a great book with me on the plane to Philadelphia last week, "The
Legends of Texas Barbecue" by Robb Walsh.

This is a terrific book both as a recipe resource and simply as a history of
how the cuisine developed here in Texas. The prose is fluid and
entertaining, weaving the history of Texas barbecue, with tales of historic
barbecues and barbecue-ists.

Best of all however, is the wonderful selection of black and white photos
that are sprinkled throughout the book. Those of you who have traveled Texas
and stopped in at some of the fmous places here, Smitty's, Mueller's, Kreuz
Market, et cetera, will especially enjoy them. They evoke earlier times
beautifully.

Definitely a worthwhile read and an excellent addition to any Q-ist's
library. If you get a chance to read it, you will not be disappointed.

Later,
George
