FAKE WOOD! All plywood is fake wood... plywood is only a **** hair
closer to lumber than partical board. I never bought any plywood, I
never will. I just went looking with a micrometer so I could measure
and there's not one bit of plywood in this house. Every stick of
lumber used to build this house was made from trees growing on this
property, and all is full nominal size, a 2" X 4" stud measures a full
2" X 4"s... some used to build the barn is over sized and still has
some bark on it. Years ago lumber here was milled from buttonwood,
aka sycamore. All the sheathing is 3/4" tongue and groove nailed on a
bias. one thing I must say about those square headed Norwegians is
they are great carpenters. I'll bet yoose don't know that the
Norwegians and Swedes invented the chainsaw.
