Some are simply not interested in geography, doesn't mean one is "ignorant"...

I love maps and atlases, always excelled at geography. I can still name all 15 constituent Soviet republics and their capitals...all districts of the city of Berlin...I have old Czech, East German and Soviet world atlases, several globes...

Collected airline timetables for many years, specifically " exotic " East Bloc items...Aeroflot, Air Koryo, Cubana, Interflug...

I like to read old train timetables, too...

Gary may be "ignorant" about geography, but very knowledgeable about things I or others may be "ignorant" of...
