Some people around here are pushing to mandate winter tires. Thankfully
our provincial government has rejected the idea. Most of us are in the
south end of the province and it doesn't get cold enough that they
really make a difference. The benefits of the softer tire really cold
weather are more than offset by them faster wear of that material. I
figure that an all season radial with good tread is better than a softer
winter tire that has no tread left.
