You're right. There's no point in inventing any technology to
make our lives easier and safer.

I'm going back to walking everywhere I go. I'll have to give my mother
a couple of day's notice when I visit her, and find some sort of hostelry
halfway in between (which I think would be somewhere inside the
Detroit city limits). It's all good, though.
