Do not rule out crackers as a primary ingredient for a quick and easy
dessert. I my sister in law introduced me to saltine toffee cookies.
Lay a sleeve of saltine crackers on a cookie sheet. Melt butter and
brown sugar in a pot and bring it to a boil for a couple minutes. Then
pour the butter/sugar mixture evenly over the crackers and sprinkle a
package of chocolate chips over that while it is still hot. Let it sit
for a couple minutes until the chips are melted and use a knife to
spread the melted chocolate. Sprinkle crushed nuts over the melted
chocolate. When it is cooled it can be broken into servicing pieces.
There are really delicious.
