I thought that 2001 and 02 were fairly consistent, and pretty hoppy
(finishing hops). I really felt that 03 was more bitter (not necessarily
less malty!) than those previous years. It seemed to me that maybe they
were trying to keep up with the double IPA trend so they upped the IBUs.
Haven't yet tried the 04.
