Living in the San Gabriel Valley, in SoCal I have 5 Trader Joe's (3 in
Pasadena, 1 San Gabriel, 1 Monrovia) within 20 minutes of where I live. I
usually buy their frozen calzone, pot pies are very good, frozen tamales,
small pizza's imported from Italy, olive oil, unsalted butter, (usually
$1.00 pound less than the chains) frozen veggies are great...always have the
mushrooms and sliced bell peppers on hand, ...as Sheryl said, the prices for
nuts are excellent, sometimes pet food, and their eggs are well priced also
at $1.29 doz.

Lots of folks switched to Trader Joe's and other independent last year
during the super market clerk's grocery strike, and have not got back to the
supers.
