Depends on how much raggedy underwear you have saved up.

I did something similar with socks on a socks-mandatory trip -- bought
a cheap 6-pack at Woolworth's (this was some time ago) and just wore
and tossed. IMHO, people tend to overpack. Someone I Know generally
drags 3 large pieces of luggage around for a long weekend, so as to
have the 'correct' outfit for any possibility. Incl. shoes. Since she
wasn't hit by a taxi, I doubt anyone in NYC was in a position to
criticize Barb's smallclothes. And look at what she was able to bring
back!
