Mine is model KUDR01TJWH0. Bought it about three years ago. Local dealer
is horrible on service, but the only thing that's worse than the service is
the dishwasher itself. The upper wash arm has broken at least six times,
the pump seals went twice, the drain hose was installed wrong nad repaired
(not a dishwasher problem, but a nuisance nonetheless), and the upper dish
rack has had most of the plastic parts break and be repaired at least once.
Even when everything is supposedly "working" and repairs have been done, it
does a terrible job of cleaning the dishes. Nothing in the upper rack gets
clean, there's always crud all over the glassware and we have to wash them
all by hand, bowls have dried food crusted on the outside and pots have
dried crud inside. We have tried pre-cleaning, not pre-cleaning; scraping,
not scraping; rinsing and not rinsing; liquid, powdered and tablet
detergents; made sure the Jet-Dry dispenser was full - not a damn thing
works. Plus all the crud that *does* come off the dishes, builds up all
over the rubber door seal and the outside of the upper rack. Nothing seems
to go down the drain.
I am about >< this close to buying *anything* else, a cheap $200 Kenmore
will work fine, just as long as the dishes get clean. My parents have a
fifteen-year-old White-Westinghouse that gets used daily, the inside is
spotless, and the dishes come out perfectly.
No KA for me, ever again. Next one will be a Miele, Bosch or even a cheaper
Maytag or Kenmore.
