I usually get a bowl big enough for the mold to fit in - and fill it
with fairly warm water - put the jello mold right in for a fast dip
(just up to the edge, you don't want water in the jello) and out again
- give it a little twisty shake - should be loose. If not, do it
again.

Or, you can dampen a kitchen towel with hot water and wrap it around
the mold - same theory - melt a teensy bit of the jello away from the
mold and it will plop right out.
