That's what I was told when I asked about a recipe at Indian markets here
in Silicorpse Valley. I'm sure the date thing will work out nicely, though.

In my case, all the other ingredients are just supporting characters for the
two stars, the mint and the chiles. I recall the first time I ran into this
condiment. I didn't know what it was. When I first tried it, I was blown
away. Sure, I could smell the overwhelming fragrance of the mint. but the
spiciness was a shocker (it was seriously hot!). It just didn't fit in my
white bread mint jelly upbringing. Fortunately, I got over it quickly and
now love the stuff.
