I used to buy USDA inspected horse meat when I was a poor starving PO3
in the USN, up in Brunswick, Me. Good stuff, nice and lean. Got it from
a tiny butcher shop that specialized in the stuff. He even had horse
luncheon meats. Meat and dairy are real high priced in Maine back in
1976. Hamburg even on the base was $1.75 a pound. The horse-burger was 2
LB for .99 cent. ---- Yum!

Lets see, I've ate, smoked kongor eel, rattle snake, goat, deer, racoon,
clams fresh water and salt water, crawfish, horse.
