Heresy (and cheesy) though it might be, you could always just go to the
store and buy a Sara Lee New York style cheesecake or two, and a couple
of different kinds of classy fruit preserves for toppings. You'll lose
bragging rights for a heroic effort to overcome the adversity of a
busted oven, but it's unlikely that anyone but the strictest dieters
will pass up a taste of the cheesecake.
