No, Amy, things will never be quite the same. But just going through the
motions of what you and your dad did together to put on a holiday meal
will begin evoking the best of memories. When my dad passed away it was
barely a month before Thanksgiving. My mom and I cooked the dinner
together for just a couple of close friends, and we did some wonderful
reminiscing.
