After getting a frozen 20 pounder at the ridiculous price of $7.00 (Safeway)
last weekend, I was walking through another local store and saw a better
quality fresh bird for 99 cents a pound - Twenty bucks later I now have 2.

I'll brine the fresh guy in apple juice and cook it in the oven. The other
birds will be smoked over New Years for new years day.
