I don't have an oven available at school (I'm a teacher). I use the
crockpot method sometimes with my kiddos (it's a great chance for them
do to some measuring and sequencing and following directions and all of
those wonderful cooking skills that apply to the kindergarten math and
reading curriculum). The point is making their own snack, not merely
buying the bagged product to give to them.
