Deep fried turkey is excellent if properly done.

I'll stress that there are hazards to the method and *all* recommended
safety procedures should be followed. If you skip one thing there's a
high degree of likelihood that you'll either badly burn yourself, burn
your house down, or ruin the turkey. Of course all of the above is
also a possibility.

Also, don't even try it with one of those flimsy things with only
three spoke legs. If you're gonna do it, get one that sits flat on a
round full supporting stand.
