Be aware that even if they work for you, you already know what you wrote
and have the recipe already. It needs to work for others to be useful in
communication, and these don't work for everybody. Your recipes and
information will turn into garbage for those few of us who don't have the
same hardware and software as most people. Why not just write 1/2 as 1/2?
