Yes, Upton's products are pre-bagged and the packed on date on the label is
when it's packed to be shipped to the customer. I'm glad for it because it
means that the teas aren't frequently exposed to air and light while orders
are filled as they would if bagged when ordered, so remain fresher, longer.
The only negative that I can think of is if you want a size that's out,
you'll have to wait for their next shipment which may be the harvest of the
following year.
