There's enough sodium nitrite in the bacon to keep it from spoiling,
most liekly. I would fry it, and if it smelled bad I would throw it out
or give it to the dog. Your nose is a good enough indicator in this
case, but the smell may not be apparent until you cook the bacon.

(I think there is *very* little chance that it's bad. But if you eat it
and die, don't come crying to me about it ;-)
