Okay, I see now -- yeah, it's a regional thing. Here on the West
coast, our butter products are *usually* sold in the shorter, thicker
"cube" shape. My mid-Western grandmother used the term "stick", which
confused me until I spent a year on the East coast and saw that the
butter there is shaped longer and thinner. And IMHO, the "stick"
shape makes a lot more sense, as it fits butter dishes better (now
say that ten times fast)... ;-)
