Today I finished the meal with a small slice of the Demel torte. I tried
just a bit of this Tokaji Aszu Esszencia with the last bit of the torte.
This wine overpowers the torte, despite all of the almonds and chocolate
in the body of the torte that is topped with a layer of marzipan which
is covered with a layer of chocolate. If you wanted to match the torte,
you probably would get a better match with a more recent 5 or 6P Tokaji
Aszu.
