Makes sense to me. My mid-Western grandparents came to Washington
State back in the 40', and they always called it "pop". I did too,
until I lived in Central PA for a year (and married someone from
there), now I call it "soda". Too bad there's no data on folks
who call it "soda pop"... ;-)
