I'd use the one you have. I have a Rival that I purchased for $9.95 over 10
years ago. I leave it plugged in all the time, though I do that with
everything. I'm an optimist. It won't toast bagels, but then I don't eat
them either. The one I had before this Rival was a Sunbeam that lasted 30+
years.
