Cash is much faster in my experience. But I'm a card swiper. By the time
he/she scans the last item I'm ready to swipe the card and hit the
credit button so I don't get whacked with the .35 POS charge. But the
authorization process takes about 8 or 9 seconds. Then you have to wait
for the receipt to print and then sign and go.
