Yes!
and no. I've been drinking 1% for years, to reduce my fat intake. I
love milk, and drink at least 2 large glasses a day, sometimes 4 or 5,
including what I put on my cereal. Years ago I went to 2% to reduce my
fat intake on the advice of a Dr friend of mine.
Recently, I've been suffering from irritable bowel syndrome. Those of
you who've had it realize how unpleasant it is. I read up on it, and
found out that fatty foods are part of the problem. I just switched to
skim milk last week. While I certainly don't like it as much as 1%, if
it helps (and it appears to be, so far) with the problem, it's worth
it. Just another adaptation to accomodate the aging process!
