That is the problem. Common sense is a misnomer because it is anything
BUT common.

Then you have to take into account the fact that the male and female
mind work differently.

Sometimes when I get sent off I take a list, sometimes if it's < 7 items
I don't. But heaven forbid I have 7 items listed in my head and an 8th
is added. Chances are that 8th item won't come back with me.
