I have to agree with you between 'taking longer' vs 'being an idiot'.
My wife tells me it reminds her of her youth when she worked at an
outdoor icecream stand on the beach. Extremely long lineups in
extremely hot weather and the same guy would stand in line with his four
kids waiting for their turn. When they finally came to the front for
their turn to order he would boldly say 'ok kids, now what do you want?'
Like, what have they been talking about for the last half hour???
