I disagree. Often the original content doesn't relate to everything below
it, due to thread drift. In such cases, I'd rather see the extraneous
material deleted. In fact, I have a rule that I generally don't scroll.
If I open a post and see nothing but quoted material, I don't read it and
just go to the next post.
