There is a brand new KA mixer out called the Accolade. 400 watts, and all steel
gears. It's 5 qts. Be careful of buying mixers on Ebay only because of the
warranty issues. KA goes by the serial # to see when it was manufactured if you
don't have a receipt from an authrized seller. If that is over a year old you
are out of luck as far as getting warranty coverage from them. You still get
the fulI year as long as it was bought within a year of manufacture. Just found
that out after reading the board at the KA website, as someone had asked. If
you buy the mixer with a credit card most double the original warranty. I'm not
sure how that would work though with Paypal.
