If you are willing to consider other brands the Braun Multisystem is
very nice. A single 700 watt (now 950 watt) motor drives, either a
dough mixing bowl (this bowl also has two different kinds of whisks), a
food processor (separate bowl, with numerous disks) & a blender. I have
had one for 10+ years and love it.
I prefer it to the KitchenAid because the dough mixing bowl is covered
and so you do not have a mess with flour flying. Its capacity for dough
is considerably higher than the KA (I have routinely done 6-7 pounds).
I like the food processor bowl on it too because again it is sealed and
so you do not have liquids leaking out from the bowl. It was one hell
of a value (Sub $300). It never seemed to catch on in the US and now
appears to be sold only in 220 volt versions for Europe.
