Has your husband checked with his doctor (or pharmacist) to make sure the
time-release version is okay? I got a blurb from my doctor about niacin
which says in part:
"This form may produce less flushing, but it is _not_ recommended for
routine use because of increased risk of liver problems. This form is not
recommended by the FDA for treatment of cholesterol disorders."
