Some dogs can be faster than they look. I remember a party almost 40
years ago of the Marbelhead 505 fleet. We were newcomers, and were
invited to help ourselves to beer in therefridgerator door.

There was a big black dog sleeping under the kitchen table. When I
opened the fridg door, the dog leapt, grabbed a can of beer from the
door, crunched it on the kitchen floor and lapped it up. . . Roar of
laughter from the living room, where the regulars knew this would
happen.

I have no shaggy dog stories, but more than one big black dog stories.
I don't know why.
