My daughter cleans them the waterless way, but I have
absolutely no patience for that. Most (all) of my mushroom
recipes call for additional liquid, so I don't care if they
absorb a little water or not. I don't "soak" them in the
water, but I do put them in a bowl filled with water and
swish them quickly to remove all the gunk.
