The best one I've had by far is Alton Brown's, & its very versatile, &
quick to make. He starts out with a mirepoix (carrots, celery, &
onion) and winds up broiling it with the tomatoes. Also, it had wine
and wine vinegar reduced in a separate pan along with the juice from
the tomatoes. You can find it at
