I've got an old wooden (so old I didn't care if it disintegrated) cheap
(less than $5 about 25 years ago) cutting board that goes through the
dishwasher along with my plastic boards. The thing just won't die.
Of course now, I'd be disappointed if it warped or cracked, since it has
become my favorite.
